All the things! A couple years in summary.

The site has been quite for a minute now.  2015 – 2016 has been an insanely busy time!  New job, another cross-country move, got married, and started my own lab.  Really fun stuff!

Long story short, 2012 through 2014 was mostly spent working with the Mixed Reality Lab at the University of Southern California, seeing Oculus before it got off the ground, and doing some pretty cool research.  After that, I was offered a postdoctoral fellowship with the Virtual Environments Group at Clemson University.  For 2014 – 2015, we got some pretty cool research published (modeling the human eye to make super accurate augmented and virtual reality [paper], new ways of calibrating and understanding virtual reality optics [paper], and how people reach and interact with objects in the virtual reality [paper 1, paper 2]).

Since then, I’ve gotten a faculty position at the University of Mississippi in the Department of Computer & Information Science.  I’m also a member of the Neuroscience program faculty.  The past year has been spent mostly getting a new lab off the ground.  It’s called the High Fidelity Virtual Environments Lab (Hi5 Lab).  We’ve just got our first articles published ([paper] co-authored with the Clemson Group and [paper] co-authored with the USC Group).  Most of the lab related posts are happening on the Hi5 Lab page, if you want to keep up with things.
